I came here about last summer with my AC not blowing cold air so I decided to take it to Walt's. They said Oh it's your compressor. So they put in a new compressor and said you're good to go. So I get in the car drive off still no air so I bring it back. They said Oh it's not your compressor it's this so I had that replaced drove off still no air I brought it back a third time Oh it's not your compressor it's not this It's this. So finally I said I don't have any more money You've already taken me for a ride If you guys knew what you were doing why am I having a replace three different things. They didn't offer to help me they didn't offer to give me a discount they didn't offer anything. I would not send my worst enemy to this place so customers beware they're always going to tell you it's your compressor even though it's not. I would just stay clear of this place go to a reputable mechanic that you know and save yourself a lot of time a lot of money and a lot of hassle And I won't return if it was the last place on earth.

I've always had respect for these guys. Every time I've been there, it was reasonably fast, if not very fast, professional and fair priced if not a great priced. Please... Lets be honest... "Sometimes" mistakes happen. I've never had an issue. However... My son has only had 1 hiccup with his a/c and they made it right without any hesitation and naturally, no charge. Give these guys a chance and you'll see why I'm posting this.

I took my truck in to have the A/C fixed and worked with a mechanic named Josh (the largest guy there). I had already purchased the correct OEM part needed for the repair and brought it with me. He quoted me $100 just to install it...which already felt overpriced, but I agreed because I needed it done. After installing the part incorrectly the first time, Josh tried to claim that the brand-new OEM part was faulty or that my truck had an electrical issue. This made no sense, especially since my A/C system was fully functioning before (aside from the feet setting issue). After his work, nothing was functioning properly. I offered to bring in another identical part to rule out a defect, but he said I would have to pay another installation fee. Instead, he suggested he could order the part himself and charge me $250 total. That didn’t sit right with me. To make matters worse, they proceeded to try three different incorrect parts, wasting more time and still claiming either the parts were wrong or my truck had an electrical issue, which I knew wasn’t the case. My 2013 Ford Explorer had a P420 code (catalytic converter below threshold) and my inspection was past due. I called and was told they could help me. I went in and they began working on it as soon as I arrived. I took a very pleasant walk to downtown Lexington, enjoyed the bookstore, thrifting, lunch and fresh air. When I returned a couple of hours later, my car was ready. My check engine light was off and my issue was resolved. They were friendly, professional and provided great service and fair pricing.

Absolutely incredible service, they squeezed me in and worked with me as I get off work close to the time they close and they got me in and got me out! Went in for a Flowmaster Super 10 and now my 5.4 V8 sounds ALOT beefier. Major thanks to the workers there! Will definitely come back in the future for the next vehicle I get. — UPDATE: Just like my last portion of the review says I did go back when I bought my new Mustang did a resonator delete w/ Steeda H Pipe. Always great working with Walt’s.
